WHERE DID YOU ALL GO?? ;________;
Anyone have any sources for some sweet-as-fuck 650c wheels? Hm? HMMM? Wheel sets or front or rear or fuck dude, rims, tires? I'LL TAKE ANYTHING I CAN GET MY TINY HANDS ON. Granted, I don't think I could build my own wheels, but I could try to find someone who can. 23 x 650c preferred.
Bonus points for red. Major bonus points. Kind of want to go all-the-fuck-out and make this beast beyond gorgeous.

Also, anyone get up on one of the Continuum in house designs? I am pretty sure that is what I will be building off of. Or the IRO Mark V HD. But I would definitely rather spend more money and support Jeff/the shop.

hi there [May. 29th, 2008|01:21 pm]

I'm new to this community and I wanted to show off my newest sweet ride. I got him for my birthday and Im so excited to get out and ride him around. Im patiently waiting for my "ding-ding" bell and basket to come in. =]
My boyfriend is also working on his scwhinn. He has a typhoon. Mine is a '64 fiesta.

The boyfriend took an old rusted together bike and made this for me.

Hello, I was wondering if Bianchi made bikes under $700 that were not single speeds?

At first I really liked the San Jose, or PIsta but I am pretty sure they only come fixed, is that correct?

Any of you dudes know someone/somewhere to get a sweet custom decal online?
I don't know of any places around here offhand that do that stuff.
Bonus points for eco-friendly shit.

tl;dr? i donno help plz [Feb. 27th, 2008|07:04 pm]
[mood |confusedconfused]

I have a general question, I recently got a really good deal on a schwinn deluxe 7, that i couldn't really pass up. An old lady on my block had bought it for her grand daughter a couple of years back and apparently the grandkid is a bitch and didn't want it so she's had it ever since  then

the catch however is, it's still in the box, (and not assembled),it also i doesn't have the instructions for it. i went to a couple of bike shops and the average price i'm being charged for it to be assembled is $65 AN HOUR? Am i being ripped off? I feel like I am, and what makes me angry because i'm thinking a BMW dealership charges charges $75-100 an hour for labor depending at what the malfunction of your car is, and the bike shops around here are charging $65 (an hour, that's what 4 shops in my radius told me--seems like they are all on this together) to build a damn bike!

uhhhhh is this about right? I don't know much about bicycles and I was just wondering if this was about the price one pays?!

I feel really angry because I'm pretty sure the price is being jacked up because i'm a girl and I seemed kind of clueless at the first two stores ):<

I'm thinking I could probably assemble it myself, but mounting and seeing if the bolts/ wheels are alright and what not seems like a risk i can't really take right now because i have a lot of school work and getting hurt and bruised is the last thing i want to do. i also would hate to mess up the bike!

i'm rambling already and i'm super impatient and want to ride the bike NOW so i just want someone to tell me, am i being ripped off or not? should i just stfu and pay? ): god dammit this really wasn't so much in my budget and $65 just seems like a stretch

thank you very much for all of your help!
